The Robes Project is a volunteer-run homeless charity operating in Southwark and Lambeth. We offer a warm welcome and hospitality to those who find themselves homeless in our volunteer-run winter night shelter, as well as holistic support services to our homeless guest.

Did you know...

• Over the winter of 2016/17, we have hosted more than 80 guests in our night shelter

• Last year 70% of those who engaged with our advice service have moved on to a sustainable home

• We have more than 600 volunteers who last year they contributed more than 8400 volunteer hours

• Our shelter is hosted in churches and community halls across Southwark and Lambeth. This winter, 28 churches supported the project by offering use of their premises free of charge.

What makes Robes Project different

We welcome homeless people as our guests, offering so much more than just a warm bed and two meals a day. Through our amazing volunteers, we offer true hospitality and friendship, complemented by a professional advice service to help our guests move onto

David, our guest from last winter said: ‘If asked to sum up my experience with Robes in one word, I would say “lifesavers"’. David, now living in a housing association property has agreed to share his story with our supporters. You can read this here

Other ways to support

We have lots of volunteering opportunities, but please note that most of these are in our winter shelters, running from November to April. More info at http://robes.org.uk/support-us/volunteer/< < /a>
