Did you know...
Home-Start CHAMS has been supporting vulnerable children and their families for 20 years.
Each year their volunteers help hundreds of young children and their families, including:
-
The little boy whose sister is so severely disabled that the family can rarely leave the house
-
The 3 children who fled with their young Mum to escape domestic violence, and now live in poverty and rural isolation
-
The young boy struggling to cope with the death of his mother following a fatal accident
It is a sad reality that Home-Start CHAMS have to turn away almost half of the families that come to them for help, due to lack of resources.
The team are working hard to raise enough funds to be able to help every family that needs them.
What makes Home-Start CHAMS different
A big part of what makes this charity different, is their special, generous and dedicated group of volunteers. With the help of Home-Start CHAMS, their volunteers are able to transform the lives of vulnerable children
“Volunteering has given me a real sense of satisfaction. My work with Home-Start gives me the opportunity to help others, as I’ve been helped in the past." A quote from a volunteer.
