About Cerebral Palsy Scotland

Cerebral Palsy Scotland is a charity whose mission is to help people with cerebral palsy build skills, knowledge, confidence and relationships. The charity advocates for the CP community to have lifelong access to knowledgeable, compassionate services and support. In order to achieve this, the charity provides specialist individual therapy and group activities, training, and opportunities for the CP community in Scotland to come together to learn, stay well and make the most of their abilities.

Did you know that 1 in 450 children will be diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy in their lifetime? In fact, CP is the most common physical disability in childhood, affecting a person’s ability to control their movement, posture and balance. No two people experience CP in the same way. Actually, how someone is affected will largely depend on the exact type of CB and how much of the persons’ body is affected.

Cerebral Palsy Scotland have made it their mission to help people with cerebral palsy build skills, knowledge, confidence and relationships. The charity advocates for the CP community to have life-long access to knowledgeable, compassionate services and support, to enable people with CP to pursue achievement at all levels and in whatever way they choose to define it.
