The cost of holidays has risen sharply in the past year, with reports revealing package holidays are now up to 30% more expensive than they were in 2022. So where can people in the UK find the best deals for getting away this summer for an all inclusive?
To help you find the best value and most affordable destinations, Savoo has looked at 41 of the most popular holiday destinations for Brits, analysing the cost of an all-inclusive package holiday, which includes flights (2 adults, 1 room from 5-12th August 2023), the number of resorts available and the average review score for all-inclusives in these destinations to determine the best value places to visit this summer.
We know everyone's situations are different so, to help as many people as possible, we also added the best family-friendly destinations to our study, which looked at the best value and cheapest destinations for a family of four (2 adults, 2 kids (5 years old)) as well as the best locations for an adult-only getaway (2 adults, 1 room. Adult-only filter).
Marrakesh, Morocco ranks as the best-value all-inclusive destination for 2023
To find out the best-value destinations for Brits to travel to we looked at the number of all-inclusive hotels in each location, the average review score of these hotels and the cost per person to determine where holiday goers can visit to get the best for their buck.
Marrakech in Morocco, known as the red city due to its buildings made of beaten clay, ranks in the number one spot for 2023. This destination has a low average cost for all-inclusive holidays (£1,028 per person) as well as a high review score of 86 out of a possible 100. This is over £2,000 cheaper than an average all-inclusive stay in Saint George’s in Grenada which came bottom of our ranking overall at £3,260. Taking second and third spots are destinations both found in Eastern Mediterranean Turkey. Both Kusadasi and Alanya score highly for their average cost for a week all-inclusive at £977 and £863 respectively.
Alongside Saint George’s in Grenada which came bottom of our rankings, Christ Church in Barbados came out second from bottom. Though this Barbados resort area saw high review scores, the overall cost of an all-inclusive resort is a staggering £2,830 on average per person, whilst Saint George’s in Grenada costs even more at a whopping £3,260.
Surprisingly, despite destinations in Turkey generally scoring highly in our rankings, Istanbul actually came third from the bottom in our overall best-value destinations ranking due to its particularly low average review score of 43 (out of a possible 100).
Turkey in triumphant taking all three top spots for the cheapest all-inclusive destination in 2023
While determining the best value destination for an all-inclusive holiday, our research reveals that some destinations are significantly cheaper than others for UK travelers to visit. If price is your priority when going on holiday this year, these are the destinations for you.
Turkey takes all three top spots this year with Istanbul (first with an average of £842 per person), Alanya (second with an average of £863 per person) and Kusadasi (third with an average of £977 per person) knocking last years cheapest value destination, Agadir in Morocco, to ninth spot for 2023 (an average all-inclusive here being £1,127 this year).
For this year's rankings, we also chose to look into all-inclusive destinations that are specifically well-catered for families. For this, we looked at the number of all-inclusive resorts that came under ‘family-friendly’, for two adults and two children.
Kusadasi in Turkey takes the number one spot for best-value all-inclusive destinations for families, with the average cost per person being £819. In second place is Marrakesh in Morocco at an average of £870 per person, followed by Benidorm in third.
In fourth place is Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. This destination boasts an impressive number of family-friendly all-inclusive stays at 105 (the second highest of all destinations) meaning parents have plenty of choice for the perfect holiday. This destination costs just over £1,000 per person for a week at £1,132.

Alanya, Turkey revealed as the cheapest all-inclusive destination for families in 2023
As for the cheapest destinations for families, Alanya in Turkey takes top spot costing £779 on average per person, followed by Kusadasi, Turkey at £819 per person for an all-inclusive family holiday this summer.
In third place is Benidorm, Spain at £836 per person and Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands comes fourth at £855.

For some, a kid-free zone is the idea of the ultimate relaxing holiday. That’s why we also looked into the best destinations for adult-only all-inclusives.
Though Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt ranked fourth for the best-value destinations for families, rest assured that there are numerous adult-only all-inclusive resorts in this destination, with some of the highest review scores possible (94 out of 100). Following this Egyptian city is Tenerife in the Canary Islands which boasts a competitive price for their adult-only all-inclusive offerings at £1,317 per person on average.

Alanya, Benidorm and Gran Canaria amongst top three cheapest destinations for an adults-only all-inclusive in 2023
As for the cheapest all-inclusive destinations for an adults-only getaway, people should try Alanya, Turkey, with several all-inclusive resorts to choose from and a lower cost per person than many other destinations (£886, over £640 less than Corfu in Greece in at number 10 which costs £1,525 per person).

Methodology and Sources
We analysed 41 of the most sought after holiday destinations in 2023 using desk research for our analysis. To find the best value and most affordable all-inclusive deals, we analysed the cost of an all-inclusive package holiday, which includes flights (for 6 nights/7 days from August 5th, 2023) for each of the holiday destinations. We also looked at the best locations for families (2 adults, 2 kids) and adults-only packages.
