Who are NCT, and what do they do?

- NCT operates a free NCT Infant Feeding Line (0300 330 0700 (option 1)). Available from 8am until midnight every day, this service offers a lifeline for parents who are worried, anxious or unsure about feeding their babies. The line currently supports over 7,000 people and babies every year, and over half of the callers ring with a question about a baby who is under 2 weeks old.
One caller said: “Approachable, kind and friendly. Gave common sense advice and increased my confidence as a new mum. What a brilliant woman doing an essential job. Can't believe I found such a wonderful, free, non-judgemental service."
- NCT hosts thousands of free community meetups all across the UK, offering safe, supportive, and non-judgmental spaces for expectant and new parents to connect. These meetups build routines, friendships, community and connections, and can also provide access to specialist mental health, peer and infant feeding, support.
- With the cost of living hitting families particularly hard, NCT runs Nearly New Sales offering affordable baby clothes, toys and essential equipment, and has distributed 3,000 “Baby Bundles" (packs of emergency essentials such as nappies) to pregnant women and new parents in need.
- For those looking to prepare for birth or life with a newborn, NCT’s antenatal and postnatal classes have helped nearly 70,000 parents every year, with 95% of parents rating them either ‘good’ or ‘excellent’. Loved by Parents voters recently crowned NCT #1 Best Antenatal Class 2025.
