Having a clear budget from the beginning will help you eliminate certain options from your search straight away making the whole process much quicker for everyone.

  • Choose your dates wisely, if you book outside of peak periods such as school holidays, bank holidays and weekends you could save tonnes on your hotel booking. It’ll also mean you afford big queues and annoying crowds of tourists.

  • Look out for special deals at some of your favourite hotels and accommodation choices. If you know a flash sale is about to drop, make sure you get on there in the early hours to ensure you get the best option before everything gets sold out. Check out comparison sites like Expedia and Hotels.com to make sure you never miss a deal.

  • Don’t fall for any extra charges and make sure you are fully aware of any T&Cs ahead of your trip. Lots of hotels for example might offer breakfast for an additional charge, but do your research as there may be a cafe down the road that offers a cheaper option for your morning coffee. Also make sure you know of any late check out charges or cancellation fees before you confirm your booking.
