Wheels for Wellbeing empowers Disabled people to transform their physical and emotional wellbeing through the provision of inclusive cycling. The charity has the largest fleet of standard and adapted cycles in London (over 200!), meaning that everyone, regardless of age or Disability, can experience the joy of cycling.

As a Disabled People’s User Led Organisation (DPULO), Wheels for Wellbeing works directly with its beneficiaries to demonstrate that cycling is not limited to the traditional, two-wheeled bicycle. This is achieved through the delivery of inclusive cycling sessions in south London, in addition to tailored programmes for Disabled children and individuals with dementia. The charity also has a campaigning branch with national reach, whereby it identifies and challenges the many physical, legal and societal barriers to cycling faced by Disabled people.

Wheels for Wellbeing plays an active role in drastically improving the lives of Disabled people, so please consider pledging your support via Savoo!

How do donations play a part?

  • £5 pays for tea and coffee at 4 of our inclusive cycling sessions, allowing participants to enjoy a hot drink with friends.

  • £15 pays for a Disabled child’s cycling helmet, so that they can ride safely and securely.

  • £20 pays for a Disabled person to experience the joy of cycling for the very first time.

You might be surprised to learn…

  • Wheels for Wellbeing engages over 1,300 Disabled people in inclusive cycling every year.

  • 92% of Wheels for Wellbeing’s annual survey respondents have praised its inclusive cycling service for being ‘Excellent’ or ‘Very Good’.

  • The charity’s campaigning branch challenges the various physical, legal and societal barriers faced by Disabled cyclists.

  • Cycling exists beyond the bicycle! Why not try out a trike, tandem, side-by-side, handcycle, recumbent or go-kart?
